Memberships Ordinary Member A member who has been admitted in accordance with Clause 4 of the Constitution and has paid the annual subscription as laid down by an Annual General Meeting. An Ordinary Member has full playing and voting rights. The current membership fee is £100.00 Honorary Member Any person who has rendered outstanding service to the Club or to the promotion of bowling may be elected to Honorary membership on the recommendation of the Committee of Management, being approved by the voting members at an Annual General Meeting. An Honorary Member has full playing and voting rights Junior Member A member under 18 years of age on 1st April who has been admitted in accordance with Clause 4 of the Constitution and has paid the annual subscription as laid down by an Annual General Meeting. A Junior Member has full playing rights but no voting rights. The current membership fee is £10.00 Temporary Member Visitors are admitted as Temporary Members and must be accompanied by an Ordinary or Honorary member of the Club who shall be entitled to sign in a maximum of two visitors per session. Temporary members shall have the use of the green and clubhouse upon payment of the fee per session as laid down by an Annual General Meeting. Members of other clubs playing in competitions on the green or attending official functions in the clubhouse are admitted as Temporary Members. Temporary Members have no voting rights. Social Member Social Members have no voting rights. The current membership fee is £10.00 Constitution - Clause 4 Admission of Members Any person wishing to apply for memberships of the Club, including previous members, must be proposed by two Ordinary or Honorary Members to whom the applicant is known personally. A non-returnable deposit as laid down by an Annual General Meeting must accompany each application. The full name and address of the applicant shall be displayed in the clubhouse for a minimum of 14 days. Any member wishing to raise an objection to such application must do so in writing to the Secretary within that period. Thereafter, the Committee of Management shall decide on the application and the Secretary shall notify the applicant and the proposers. Upon admission a new or rejoining member must pay the Entry Fee and annual subscription for the relevant category of membership unless such rejoining takes place within 12 months when the Entry Fee shall be wavered. |
