Competition Bowling complying with current regs

The committee have agreed that Club Championship competitions will not be held this year. Winners and runners up in 2019 will therefore represent KBC in the Scottish and Midlothian competitions in 2021.

It has also been proposed that we run twice weekly ‘Wappenshaw’ competitions as follows –

Every Wed evening starting at 18.30 with the first one being held on Wed 29 July and alternate Sat and Sun starting at 10.30 with the first one being held on Sat 1 Aug (then Sun 9 Aug, Sat 15 August etc).

All entrants must register their intention to play in these competitions at least 24 hours in advance by contacting the Match Secretary on 01968 670316 or 07799 436092.

The rules of the competition will be posted inside the locker room but please feel free to also contact the Match Secretary if you would like further information.

Entry fee will be £2.00pp. It is hoped that members will pay £10 on the first day thus covering their fees for the first five competitions in advance.

A number of members have been enjoying their ‘bounce’ games since the club opened and it is hoped that more members will feel encouraged to come along and participate in a friendly and sociable game of bowls.

Please note that there will be no bar service or catering at these events.
